These are all comments I received from women ages 25-78 regarding getting work done in their home. My goal is to change the wait time and help you —the homeowner— be more comfortable in getting those much needed repairs done.

Duchess Home Repair & Renovation was started with women in mind and a horrible home repairman experience. After interviewing many women ages 25-78 we noticed they all had one thing in common: None of them were comfortable being home alone when the repairman/contractor came.
Duchess is a female-run company, so it will be a woman that shows up at your door unless otherwise agreed upon. While there are jobs our handywoman needs help with (mainly any heavy lifting that requires two people), the bottom line is we communicate with you beforehand to get the job done comfortably, safely, and efficiently.
With over fifteen years of experience working in various areas of construction. Whether you need those rickety steps on the front deck replaced, a leaky tap changed, or want to gut and replace your half-bath, Duchess will work with you every step of the way.
Yes, some jobs are too big.
Duchess does not do full room drywall, large shower renovations or build additions. Smaller flooring jobs are done at special request and priced per square foot.
Too small?
Not likely but you never know unless you ask! Maybe your medicine cabinet fell off the bathroom wall and took some drywall with it on the way down. As mentioned above, Duchess promises to be honest and transparent with whatever job we do inside or outside your home. We won’t strong arm or recommend things you don’t need. Communication and understanding are two things we value along with providing a clean and safe work environment.
